Business as usual at Vividas Asia Pacific
It's business as usual at Vividas Asia Pacific, despite the UK - based parent company, Vividas Group Plc placing itself and its operating companies into voluntary administration.
The UK and US operating companies have pursued different - and unsuccessful - strategies to the Asia Pacific subsidiary. The administrator has no immediate plans to place either Vividas Pty Ltd (the Asia Pacific operating company) or Vividas Technologies Pty Ltd (the Melbourne based technology arm of the group) into administration and it is expected that these businesses will be sold together as going concerns.
In the meantime, Vividas Asia Pacific continues to build the business and sign new clients and partners. Some highlights of our recent work are listed below:
Ford Streams New Car Model Launches to Dealer Network in China
China based Changan Ford Mazda Automobile Corporation (CFMA) has begun using Vividas to webcast marketing events live to a network of 200 sales dealers across China.
CFMA first used Vividas to Webcast the 2008 Ford Focus Launch on 25th September and followed up with a general dealer update and the launch of 2008 Mondeo model on 2nd November.
Dave Winter, CEO of Vividas Asia Pacific said he was delighted that the unique benefits of the Vividas live video streaming technology in corporate environments are being recognized by major brands such as CFMA. "It is also gratifying to see our software gaining acceptance in major markets that are new for us and from which we expect significant revenue growth," he said. "Being able to deliver an effective live solution that leverages only the existing corporate infrastructure is a unique benefit that has been recognized by CFMA."
"A partnership like this is the kind of validation we need to gain even wider acceptance in the region," he said.
General Manager of CFMA Sales Branch, Nigel Harris, points out that during these tough economic times "it is very important that we communicate with our dealer network regularly, so what we intend to do is use this webcast each fortnight as a way for senior management of Changan Ford to talk to our dealer network on a regular basis."

Vividas streams Victorian Parliament
In August, The Victorian parliament began using Vividas to allow Victorians to listen in to the State Parliament for the first time, in stage 1 of a 2 stage process which will see video streamed next year.
Webcasts of both Legislative Assembly and Legislative Council are available at the Victorian Parliament website: www.parliament.vic.gov.au.
Vividas CEO, Dave Winter, says that the video stream will begin as soon as a broadcast production system has been installed into Parliament.
"The technology to stream live video from Parliament is installed and ready to go," he said. "In the interim, Vividas has developed a custom application to stream an image of the speaking member, along with his or her biography." he said.
Vividas Streams Republican National Congress
Vividas played a part in the US Presidential Campaign when it was used by Pajamas Media to webcast 4 days of the Republican National Convention 2008
