Australian Management buys Vividas
Great news for fans of the remarkable Vividas technology, with the Vividas Australian management team announcing it has bought back the technology it originally owned and developed from the Administrators of the UK based parent.
Vividas Holdings Pty Ltd now owns 100% of the shares of Vividas Technologies Pty Ltd and Vividas Pty Ltd (the Asia Pacific operating company), ending months of negotiations with the Administrators of troubled UK-based parent company, Vividas Group Plc.
In completing the purchase of the Technology and Asia Pacific operating subsidiaries, Vividas CEO, Dave Winter, said he intends to expand upon the business model proven in Asia Pacific and is delighted to be able to reassure customers and partners that Vividas will continue to develop and support its technology.
Vividas Welcomes New Asia Pacific Partners
In our December issue, Vividas Asia Pacific announced re-seller agreements signed with six new partners. We are delighted to say that despite the difficulties we have experienced over the last two months, we have continued to be approached by dynamic companies wanting to offer our technology to their clients and six new partnerships have been formed.
Aqua Media and Works.com.au are Sydney-based specialists in internal and external corporate communications solutions; Integrated Streaming is also Sydney-based and specializes in live and on demand webcasting; Singapore-based Visualise Media produces corporate videos for high-profile companies; also out of Singapore is New Media Solutions, which provides system integration services including turnkey IPTV and broadcast head-end systems to Pat-TV operators and, from Bangkok, Teo Hong Silom Co. Ltd, which provides comprehensive ICT solutions for local businesses.
Once again, all six are thriving companies looking to offer their clients the best video production and technology for video distribution and they report already feeling the benefits of their partnership with Vividas by way of new opportunities, projects and clients.
Vividas Goes to Church
Vividas has signed an agreement with one of Asia’s largest independent church to stream live its religious services to thousands of people, via the internet.
Services are regularly streamed to its members and church leaders hope to boost viewer numbers, increase quality and decrease distribution costs by taking advantage of Vividas’ unique ability to webcast live streams over http from standard web servers. More details coming...
John Howard Goes High Tech Since Leaving Office
Vividas technology is used by US online media company, Pajamas Media (www.pajamasmedia.com), which streams coverage on news issues from its international network of more than 90 correspondents and bloggers. Subscribers can watch original stories, podcasts and videos all in Vividas quality.

Deloitte’s State of the nation streamed by Vividas
Well known professional services firm, Deloitte will, once again, use Vividas technology to deliver its “state of the nation” live webcast to staff this month.
Deloitte CEO, Giam Swiegers, believes communication is essential for Deloitte.
"We are a people business and it is important that our people know what is going on and that they hear it from the top." Giam says.
"The feedback, after we stream my quarterly State of the Nation broadcast to our people, from Alice Springs to Port Moresby, Sydney, Perth and Melbourne and Brisbane, has always been very positive. Our people appreciate me talking to them direct, live, not edited - what I say is what they get." he says.
Melbourne International Film Festival fans treated to Vividas streams
The Melbourne International Film Festival will stream movie trailers using Vividas technology again in 2009. Last year, movie fans were blown away by the quality of the Vividas stream, as they watched selected MIFF trailers and organizers are keen to make the trailers available once again in full screen Vividas quality.
